I bought the Hilux because I have always liked proper 4x4s, and owning it has been a great experience. It feels extremely solid, the 2.8 diesel has effortless torque, and it has that typical Toyota feeling of being built to last. I have also spent quite a bit on protecting and accessorising it, including PPF, rolling shutter, stylish bar, underbody coating and a few genuine Toyota accessories. My reason for selling is actually unrelated to the Hilux itself. My cousin in New Zealand recently passed away, and he was in the process of constructing a house adjacent to mine. The property is now being sold, and instead of it going to a third party, I have decided to buy it and keep it within the family. Because I already have a Jimny and a Santro to take care of my regular driving needs, I felt the Hilux was the most sensible asset to liquidate for this purpose. So this is not a distress sale or because of any issue with the vehicle. I have genuinely enjoyed owning it and have spent a fair amount on protecting and accessorising it. I would prefer selling it directly to someone who understands and appreciates the Hilux rather than just treating it like another used car. Dealers and resellers, kindly do not call or message me. I am looking to sell the vehicle only to a genuine end buyer and am not interested in dealer or reseller offers.
