The design of the car has aged well and despite it being old, when parked does spark curiosity amongst the people passing by, some of them actually stopping by to see, the car is bone stock, and the majority of the work required to keep it running has already been taken care of, barring a few issues here and there, which are part and parcel of owning an ageing German automobile. Ideally, the buyer should be a little tech-savvy and have some basic automotive knowledge. Not necessarily, if you know reliable mechanics who know what they are doing more importantly, know what not to break. / having auto enthusiast friends around who can guide you. Most of these cars haven't ended up in scrapyards because they had major mechanical failures, but because someone failed to diagnose a problem properly and ended up making things worse. Over the five years of ownership, it has been a slow and careful journey. A fair amount of restoration and corrective work has been carried out, most of it fixing things that previous owners had neglected. The car remains **bone stock and unmolested**, with nothing tampered with or unnecessarily modified, except for a parking camera installed by a previous owner. Personally, I would prefer removing it to keep the wiring harness completely original as well. This is a car for an aware buyer who understands that a 20+ year-old automobile will inevitably develop a few age-related issues, which the next owner can gradually attend to and improve. A few highlights - Renewal charges and green tax paid up to 2023. Transfer is pending and will have to be taken care of by the buyer. - Ice-cold, bone-chilling AC (₹13,000 spent on replacing the compressor clutch and coils). - Goodyear 205/60 R16 tyres with barely 1500 km on them. - Brand-new Exide 70 DIN battery. - Jet Black turtle Black Polish (80% remaining) - Enormous Boot Space with Spare Alloy underneath - Original, unmodified condition. The engine bay may look a little neglected, but I have always preferred leaving things untouched unless there is a genuine need for repair. I would rather have an original, functioning component than unnecessarily disturb it for cosmetic reasons. Along with the car : I will also be handing over a few useful spares and diagnostic equipment accumulated during my ownership: OP-COM diagnostic tool: An aftermarket clone of sorts of Opel's factory Tech 2 diagnostic system, along with software. You can connect it to a laptop and scan the car yourself without having to pay someone every time you need a diagnostic scan. - A pair of brake pads (believed to be for two wheels). - Original Invoice and Factory Booklet contacting Engine Security Code & Radio Code. - Engine oil filter. - some wiring plugs retained from previously imported parts. - two extra side indicators. - Blower motor temperature resistor and a few other miscellaneous spares and bits accumulated over the years. The car could suit someone who simply wants to own this beauty and take it out occasionally, or an enthusiast who understands what this machine is, appreciates its character and wants to make it even better I believe this isn't a tuner-friendly platform, nor is it meant to be one! Prefer someone who understands what they are getting into and appreciates the effort that has already gone into keeping this machine alive.
